Translations

As an English native speaker with a certificate in German, I translate all kinds of text from German into English (UK & US). Due to my former activity as a professor of medical sciences, I focus on medical texts.

Copy editing

Based on my own experience in publishing books as well as scientific articles in international journals, I can provide professional copy editing and proofreading of English documents in scientific, technical and most other areas.

Proofreading

Based on my own experience in publishing scientific articles in international journals, I offer professional proofreading of English writing, such as scientific papers or corporate texts, in addition to translations and copy editing.

Background

I went to school in England and Australia, and then studied biological sciences as an undergraduate. I then acquired a doctorate in neuroscience in California, followed by postdoctoral research in Munich. After working for some years as an academic at the University of New South Wales, I started to work as a freelance translator and copy editor. In 2010 I qualified for the Diploma in Translation (German to English) with the internationally recognised Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK. I now live and work in Munich
